About the Author: Thorsten Nesch
I am currently living in Leverkusen, Germany. 1998 to 2003 I lived in Canada. In the 90s I did a lot of travelling: Ireland, Poland, Jamaika, Australia, Albania, Scandinavia...
Before I could live off my stories I worked several jobs (for a sausage imperium, a media store, the Pentagon and so on – wait, I should tell you the Pentagon is a blues bar in my hometown). I was coeditor of the filling station magazine in Canada, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno used stuff I sent them, I was a juror at the Victoria International Film Festival.
My stories received literary fundings and awards nationally and internationally. In the last years I did more than 1000 readings in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.
My first novel was nominated Best German YA Debut and I won the Hans-im-Gluck-Award 2012
Jury: „His style is a stroke of luck for literature“
