William Casey is a marginally successful detective from the Florida Gulf Coast who is requested to solve a missing personas case for a dying friend in Baltimore. The missing person is Caseyas friendas first wife, and her disappearance took place forty years ago at a sixties festival. Casey had migrated from Baltimore years before himself and the investigation forces him to return and wade through the muck of the pastanot only his own, but that of those who were close to him and whom he is trying to help.
