Hank Freeman is a cab driver. In doing his job he picks up many unusual characters. Some are dangerous, like the bank robbers who hijack his cab and force him to be the get-away guy. Other characters are strange, like the man with the bag of poisonous snakes who needs to get to his church. The snakes manage to get loose on the way. Still other characters are funny, like the nervous man who needs to get to the hospital because his wife is about to give birth. Hank is tough and courageous. But in the line of duty he has been shot dead and traveled to heaven and back. The streets of Los Angeles are full of characters flagging down a cab. Being a cab driver is a hazardous job, but the interesting people who hop into the cab make it all worthwhile.
