Sometimes in real-life situations as children, our minds tend to wander. This is a story about a poor family that had a lot of bad luck and a little boy who found a way to put the bad luck aside and focus on a fresh imagination to pass the time. Michael was traumatized with some of the events that happened in this story, so it is hard to believe what is true and what is not. The story is the way that he remembers it. Michael wanted to believe that a lot of this story was not real but he would be lying to himself. Many of us try to find an outlet, a way that we can forget about certain days. This story was Michaelas outlet and he hopes that Horace never crosses his path again. Michael keeps wondering if Horace is still out there, but nonetheless, he is a better man today because of these events.
