Three years have passed since the events of "Earth Tilt" shook our planet to its core, leaving modern civilization in ruins. Though many of the survivors have started to rebuild, most of the small communities scattered around the continent remain isolated from one another.

With no way to communicate over long distances, JJ Darby, his wife, and others from Goldston set out on a long journey to find out what happened to their families back east. Their trek will bring them into contact with new friends ... and old enemies.
