Colonel Jack Brooks, a U.S. Air Force intelligence officer and former combat pilot, suffers through a tragic personal loss early in his assignment as a NATO unit commander stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. Through a strange set of circumstances, he finds himself in an awkward and dangerous position as an untrained spy, courageously burrowing into the inner workings of an explosive European terrorist organization involving a gorgeous Oslo fashion model. The path he chooses, with its deadly twists and pitfalls, puts him in a position of being an expendable asset. His lack of training and experience in the savage, clandestine world both enhances his ability to gain the trust of the terrorists and places his life in jeopardy. He is forced to draw on his inner strength and survival instincts while bravely enduring brutal physical and mental torture at the hands of his captors.
