About the Author: Clu Gallagher
Maura (English) Gallagher began writing in 2007 at the age of sixty. Retired from teaching ART to inner-city children and on a disability pension after being stricken with Fibromyalgia in 2001,writing became a form of therapy. She drafted a manuscript in 2007 and called it "The Quilt". She is married, with two daughters, and seven grandchildren. SHATTERED SEEDS:"SOFIA'STORY" is a biographical, historical literary fiction set in the 20th Century Berlin, the United States and South Vietnam.

This book is the second edition of the author's first novel, "The Shattered Seeds: 'Sofia's Story' brought back in its original format. The author, who is self published, requested that the first edition be retired when marketing issues threatened her copyright shortly after publishing it in March 2011. She has published several subsequent editions of this story, her first about immigrants to America during the country's short history.
