Elaine Orr writes fiction and nonfiction. "From Newsprint to Footprints," first of the River's Edge cozy mystery series (from Annie Acorn Publishing) debuted in November 2015, and "Demise of a Devious Neighbor" will appear in fall 2016.

Elaine introduced the Jolie Gentil series in 2011 and most of the ten books hit bestseller status on Amazon (cozy mystery category). "Behind the Walls" was a finalist in the 2014 Chanticleer Mystery and Mayhem Awards.

With more time to write and the ease of self-publishing I've been able to put more work in front of readers. I have some traditionally published nonfiction, and now make much of my work available through Kindle, itunes, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, Smashwords, and Overdrive (for libraries).

After many questions about "how do you write so quickly," I published "Writing in Retirement: Putting New Year's Resolutions to Work." The bottom line, for me, is putting my own tailbone in a chair for a few hours each day. When I worked full-time I scraped an hour a day a few days a week. Writing every day is a luxury, and I am grateful.
