About the Author: Elizabeth Matson

I have published four books, 'Tuffy', 'The Favor', 'Pieces of the Past', & 'The Contract', released Nov. 2011. I consider myself lucky as I have gained a following for my works. (Shameless plug here> I autograph all copies of those ordered right from my website.)

My stories are best described by saying I either place fictional characters into a historical time, or should the tale be set in the modern day, sprinkle it with historical places & folk, or family lore. In both I add a hint of romance, and mix in events, & places which appeal to both men & women.

More about me? I grew up as an Air Force brat, living in a variety of places, developing a curiosity of histories, cultures, sports, music, and a love of animals. It was no surprise I was given the title of historian at an early age. I went on to study at Central Arizona College and University of Arizona, graduating with degrees in both The Arts and Education before embarking on a teaching
When I don't have my nose in a book, I can be found among friends at Civil War living history re-enactments, exploring museums, taking trips down back roads, or in debates over whose team is the better.

I am the proud mom of one son & share my home with a husband and two cats.

Open the pages of The Contract and meet another set of Elizabeth Matson’s enchanting characters:
There’s Jackson Davis - a workaholic who needs an employee for his restoration business, not to mention something his sister calls 'a life'.
Leigh - a woman who Jackson literally never sees coming, throwing him for a loop in more ways than one.
Carl - whose job is to get Jackson from one appointment to the next and who offers unsolicited advice along the way, reminding them both in a grandfatherly fashion that sometimes signing on the dotted line can mean more than simply a business arrangement.
These and a cast of other colorful characters weave together a tale of romance with a dash of history, which readers of Elizabeth Matson's novels have come to expect.
