My story begins when I was just a young kid growing up in a small community in central Louisiana, known as Mill-Town. My father owned timber land near the saw mill in Mill-Town. Dad became partners with William Bentley, the initial owner of the mill. An epidemic struck our small community, causing death to loved ones and friends. An escaped killer comes to Mill-Town, and a corpse is found in the mill pond. Later in the story my girlfriend is raped, and has a child by the rapist. I wanted the person responsible to pay for his wrongs. The great depression causes the mill to close. Hard times are felt all over America, and sacrifices must be made. As time passes, I am called to serve in the Army to fight in the war against Hitler, and the Germans in World War II.
