About the Author: Ceet

Ceet The Author hails from South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he began honing his craft as an artist as early as age nine. At fourteen he wrote a short story for his high school English class entitled “Summertime in my neighborhood”, and fifteen years later that story became the basis for Ceet’s first official release, 2009’s “The Whore and The Virgin.” The book became an instant hood classic and all of the positive feedback inspired Ceet to release his second effort, “A Dog’s Day” that very same year.

While gaining recognition as a writer Ceet then began pursuing another passion, filmmaking and videography. In 2010 he wrote, produced, and directed “The Wrong Few Brothas” movie/music video starring City Council and Jay Stars. Also in 2010 was the release of “The Dead End Movement”, a documentary about the Philadelphia community where Ceet was raised. After completing the documentary Ceet went on to produce and direct a number of independent film projects, including the “The BARZ freestyle series” and the “Dead End Cyphers”, as well as a number of music videos for artist in and around Philadelphia, including the 2012 street banger “The South Philly Anthem.”

Today Ceet continues to study his craft and pursue his dreams from his home in South Philly. He’s already released several more novels under his imprint BRP Entertainment, as well as several skits, web series, and music videos. With many more projects down the line Ceet shows no signs of slowing down.

It’s impossible to reach the pearls of the future without first facing the demons of the past, and for Cyrus Young, the demons of his past have been haunting him since childhood. Throughout his life, he'd found it much easier to run from his problems, and that way of thinking has led him down some dark and deadly roads.

Cy's biggest demon has been his addiction to Heroine, which intensified during a ten-year prison sentence, but even with the overwhelming control the deadly drug has over him, he doesn't see it as his biggest problem. It isn't what's been haunting him all this time. In Cy's mind there's only one man responsible for his addiction, his time in prison, and everything he'd lost because of it. Only now, after so many years of running, he’s finally ready to face that man. Not only face him, but make him pay for all he'd done to him.

A Dog’s Day is a dark and gruesome tale of revenge, and a sad and tragic tale of redemption. Ceet The Author's fast-paced story-telling style keeps the pages turning, all while displaying a range of emotions in his characters that will make them real and keep the reader guessing. Although this is a work of fiction, the harsh reality it sets brings the story to life.
