This is the story of a saddle maker and his children and how they lived through tough times and many wars. I am writing this book as an act of appreciation for the people who sacrificed themselves during the Lebanese war of 1975 and 1981 in order for the rest of us to live with our heads held high. It gives you a little perspective of how people lived at that time and place, their unique way of thinking and how they dealt with all kinds of matters. It mostly relates to family ties and the unconditional love they had for each other and how they bonded together and gave the ultimate sacrifice. Itas definitely not to promote violence, although it contains quite a bit of violent scenes. Itas about the facts of life and how honorable people lived and died. Every single family in my hometown suffered the loss of loved ones, not to mention the properties that were destroyed and the agony of survival during the wars. The courage and boldness of some young men gave these wars a different aspect; it became a unique challenge for everyone.
