Tunde and Dele were cousins, originally from Nigeria, but now based in England. Tunde was a pilot, while Dele was a human rights activist. They had both escaped the downturn in Nigeria's fortune in the 1990s, but always thought they could, and were willing to, tilt the balance of right against wrong. The menace of extreme corruption and religious bigotry in their home country, Nigeria, was their main concern.
Dele became a political fugitive and devoted his energy to the recovery and repatriation of Nigeria's stolen wealth in particular and that of Africa in general. His method was, however, unorthodox as he chose to confront the governments in the West, whom he considered as the receivers of stolen goods. To achieve this, he sought the help of the Church. From England to Italy and some other European countries, he was for the most part either arguing his case or on the run.

Tunde, on the other hand, had distanced himself from all religions, but not from God. He claimed that the hypocrisy in the Church made him so and urged his cousin not to rely so much on the men of God. On a flight from Dubai in the Middle East to Shanghai in China, on the day the pope died, Tunde was able to prove to his colleagues why he thought Christianity got it all wrong from the beginning. Tunde's conviction, however, became tested when his best friend and cousin faced some grave dangers.
