S. Rudolph Herring was born in Cleveland, OH and grew up in Cleveland Heights. After finishing high school he went on to receive a Bachelor of Science from Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA. He was employed by Cleveland Publics Schools for 4 years as a substitute teacher before going to corporate America S. Rudolph Herring began writing stories and poetry at an early age as a means of expression and continued on through his adult life. The inspiration for Buxaloo the Absentminded Rou came after the birth of his first daughter. Instead of reading stories from a book he would tells stories to his daughter by just making them as he went along. So along with the birth of his first daughter came the birth of Buxaloo the Absentminded ROU among other characters soon to come.
