About the Author: Peter Standish Evans

Peter Standish Evans was born in England. Author and poet, he started writing with 70's poets in a school termed 'Neo Metallic Realism'. Their influences had crossed borders; including Hendrix, Bolan and Morrison, whose music and lyrics combined to inspire young writers; also influential were the US Beat poets and the UK 'Mersey Sound' poets, Patten, McGough and Henri; all iconic pathfinders whose various styles had significant impact on many developing poets. The realism of street poetry, and the metallic energy of pre-pixel life, blasted through Vox AC30's, had sway on followers. Evans's poetry collection "Red Winds Howl" reflects that leverage, moving into the next decades. "Ominous: Borders: Coffee" is his debut novel, and the first in the 'Ominous Mystery' series. A beautiful and obsessive violinist is pitted against a malevolent killer, who haunts the streets of Paris. It's summer in modern Europe; the cafés and bistros hum with robust activity. A tightly plotted novel, it explores the characteristics of shifting interpersonal borders. Tension ramps up as emotional, sensual and psychotic borders are stormed. He is currently writing his second novel. A further collection of poetry entitled "Dark Red Lands" is scheduled for publication late 2015.
