About the Author: Rosemary Allix
I supppose I've always been a writer, won a poetry prize when I was seven, an essay prize on a school cruise to Greece. Then I became a junior reporter on the local paper - specialising in budgerigars and guinea pigs in the early days, before moving on to celebrities. For many years the day job was editing, headed up a yoga magazine, and I also did some very interesting ghost writing. Now I am on the brink of retiring from any pretensions of a career so I can spend my writing time any way I please. At present that means my fourth novel, having been through an intense poetic period while studying for an MA in Creative Writing at Sussex University. Now I get a lot of pleasure from helping other writers see their work in print with a small publishing business Hanover Books. My other big interest is radio, I present a weekly show called The Book Corner where I get to chat with a great variety of writers.
