There have been many Tarzan adaptions over the years, the book publication originally created by Edgar Rice Burroughs in 1914 has been popular among children and adults and will continue to be for generations to come.

Tarzan has been created in many different mediums, television, cinema, magazine, toys, books and much more.

We are always fascinated by books, which have led to film adaptations Tarzan being one of the most popular.

For those of you who need a refresher on what Tarzan was all about here it is: Tarzan is a fictional character raised by apes in the African jungle, Tarzan tries to integrate with civilisation but he gets rejects and returns to the wild where his adventure has only just begun.

Before watching the movie, which was released July 1st, you must read the book first to understand Tarzan in the way Edgar Rice Burroughs wanted you to.

Once you’ve read the book – (it’s a fantastic quick read) give the trailer for the new movie a go, according to rotten tomatoes the critics have given it an awful 34% but the audience loved it giving it a score of 74%.
